This picture is the positive image that we took with a pinhole camera (to be explained under next picture). I took the negative (below) and scanned it onto my camera. Taking the negative into photoshop, I then adjusted the colors before turning it into the positive. I don't really like the positive as much as the negative, just because the only interesting thing in it is the tree, and even then, it's not as cool as it is in the negative.
This picture was taken with a pinhole camera. We used a can with a hole in it, and allowed a 2-4 second exposure time outside. I aimed it, and opened the hole, allowing light into the 'canera' for a few seconds. Then, I covered the hole with tape and went into the darkroom to develop it. Developing takes awhile, but it's always a good feeling to see how well your picture turned out.
I really like this negative just because of how eerie it looks. The tree stands out against the sky and makes it look almost ghost-like. What I might try is getting a couple more trees in the picture, and not having as much building in the image.
This is the positive of a picture I took of a straw wrapper. I thought it would be an interesting picture, even though it didn't turn out quite as well as I would have liked. But I think that I can accept this picture because even if it doesn't look like what I wanted it to, it clearly shows some contrasts and I dunno, it just looks cool.
I don't like this negative of the positive above. It was of a straw wrapper. I'm not quite sure what the larger shape in the right is, but I think people can use their imagination and make it be anything they want it to be.
